Our Mission

The mission of the Academy is to help students develop a lifelong appreciation for music along with gaining musical knowledge and experience that would truly enable them to achieve their musical aspirations, be it professional or hobby. Regular concerts, mandatory theory lessons and International Music Exams pave the way to a well-rounded musical development at the Academy.

Before the virtuosic skills come the love for music! The faculty at Bridge Music Academy is well aware and takes responsibility to first help a student develop a love for music before getting into technical nitty-gritties of the subject. The musical journey at the Academy is planned in a progressively structured fashion, not only in terms of progressive difficulty of the content taught but also considering what aspects of music become important for different demographics of students at different stages of learning.

At Punjabi Music King, a student may expect to develop various aspects of music like aural skills, technique, sight reading, music analysis and composition, music appreciation and performance simultaneously in an integrated pedagogical approach. Music is a performing art and we ensure a rich performance experience for each student, which is all so crucial when they start to perform at large prestigious venues and for their admissions to music colleges abroad. The performance opportunities at the Academy include in-house recitals, peer group recitals, virtual recitals, annual ensemble/band concert titled Rock Brigade and seasonal recitals at prestigious auditoriums within the city.

Learning to play a musical instrument has benefits well beyond the ability to play an instrument or sing well. Playing a musical instrument is the only activity in the world that simultaneously engages every area of the left and right hemisphere of the brain. This is literally equivalent to a full body workout for your brain. There are numerous studies published over the last century about direct benefits of learning to play a musical instrument to prove these facts. Some of the most tangible benefits include emotional stability, social skills, fine motor skills, aural skills, creativity, reading and mathematical ability, cognitive skills, etc. These benefits are not age specific, any learner at any age will benefit from learning to play a musical instrument. Young students learning music will show improved performance in academics and co-curricular activities along with other benefits listed above and adult learners will gain creativity, troubleshooting skills, emotional stability among other benefits.
